‘Soul Food’, a super weighty instrumental soul / blues / funk b-side was released in 1969/70 on Rude Boy Records featuring amongst others Ghanaian saxophonist and vocalist Teddy Osei (who went on to form the Afro rock band Osibisa). ‘Booma Woman’ was also a B-side in a more reggae-funk style released possibly a year later featuring vocalist Jean Manix.
This extraordinary, dark , moody and experimental offering from teenage Ghanaian afro rock outfit Edzayawa (Pronounced Ed – Zye – Ow – Ahh) is one of the more obscure and unique releases that Soundway have brought back to life over the past ten years. Soundway will release Projection One here in it’s full original format on gatefold vinyl as well as on CD for the first time: remastered and accompanied by liner notes that contain the reminiscences of band leader Nana Danso.
Soundway set sail for Colombia once again, delving deeper into the South American country’s rich musical past. 55 tracks spread over two CDs The Original Sound of Cumbia is Soundway’s definitive guide to the origins of Colombian cumbia and porro and the result of five years pain staking re-search by Will ‘Quantic’ Holland.

Soundway return once more to the Caribbean and are proud to present ‘Ifetayo’ by Black Truth Rhythm Band originally released in 1976. Led by the charismatic Oluko Imo, ‘Ifetayo’ was the only release from the Afro-centric, Trinidadian band and is re-issued here for the first time on CD, vinyl and digital.
