Ibibio Sound Machine have announced a London headline show at Village Underground on 27th November. Fronted by British / Nigerian vocalist Eno Williams, they combine elements of West African highlife, disco, post-punk & psychedelic electro soul.
The London based group released their self-titled debut album on Soundway Records earlier this year to much acclaim. Both of their singles went straight onto the BBC 6 Music playlist and the group were live in session with Lauren Laverne the week of album release and performed on Later with Jools Holland.

Fantasma, the latest project of South African innovator and creative pioneer Spoek Mathambo, is a five-man collective which weaves together electronica, hip-hop, traditional Zulu maskandi music, shangaan electro, South African house, psych-rock and punk to form a unique, original and fresh hybrid.
The godfather of ‘Bacardi House’, producer DJ Spoko joins with former Machineri guitarist André Heldenhuys, drummer Michael Buchanan and maskandi multi-instrumentist Bhekisenzo Cele to complete the line up.
Fantasma have shared the first song from their forthcoming ‘Eye of the Sun EP’ that is set for release 10th November via Soundway Records. Their debut ‘Sefty Belt’ features the mesmerizing vocals of guest artist JOSIAHWISE IS THE SERPENTWITHFEET.
Especially for Fantasma’s 100 Club performance, Spoek will be screening the UK debut of his documentary ‘Future Sounds of Mzansi’. Premiered at Durban International Film Festival and screened at Sonar Festival, Barcelona in July 2014, ‘Future Sounds of Mzansi’ maps the explosive scene of electronic music in South Africa, its popularity and cultural importance across all strata’s of society.
