‘Alegria’ – Batida video

Taken from the forthcoming LP ‘Batida‘ out 26th March on CD,LP & download PRE-ORDER HERE

Alegria celebrates simplicity and positivity: “Dance, Joy, Music.” It’s a kuduro beat, with elements of semba, crossing electronica with African psychedelia. It was made using archival footage of the Carnival of Luanda back in the 70s, handpicked in the midst of many dusty reels, mixed with images of current routines in one day of concert at the Knowledge Pavillion in Lisbon.” Pedro Coquenão
